Veranta-Club on summer Wednesdays at Satama Areena

12.6.2024 | The atmospherically decorated and weather-independent Veranta-Club, comprising the outdoor terrace and lobby of the Port Arena, will be open for the whole summer. The intimate clubs will feature acoustic solo performances, improvisational theatre and two different theme parties.

Wed 5.6. MAMMA MIA! theme party by DJ MARCO

Marko Kiuru has long been known as DJ Marco. He started his professional career already in 1982, touring around Finland with DJ gigs. In Kotka, DJ Marco conquered Sokos Hotel Seurahuone in the then Bar Venus in the mid 80s. In 2011, DJ Marco was elected to the Finnish DJ Hall Of Fame in recognition of his long-standing and diverse work for Finnish disco culture.

Wed 19.6. Improv performance by IMPROHOLISTS

The Improholist improvisation group was founded in Joensuu in 2018 and consists of a group of improaddicts and cultural multi-taskers. Based on suggestions from the audience, the group creates exhilarating scenes, captivating songs and long improvised plays.

Wed 3.7. ARCHIE CRUZ plays The Greatest Rock Songs

Archie is familiar from the Santa Cruz line-up and from the last season of Farmi TV show Farmi Suomi / Ruutu. We see his captivating acoustic side when Archie sits down with his guitar on the Veranta porch and strums his first chords. In the spirit of MTV Unplugged, the evening becomes a campfire where we hear the sweetest rock songs from different decades.

Wed 31.7. WHITE PARTY – themed party by DJ MARCO

Dress in white and enjoy summer at its best, and so will we! Linen shirts and silk dresses to fly. Sing and dance along as the Veranda sun sets and the summer breezes pamper you.

All Veranta-Club nights start at 6pm and the restaurant will be open until at least 8pm, or even longer depending on the mood and situation.

Programme fee 5 € / person, except theme parties 5.6. and 31.7. free admission. The programme fee is paid on the spot at the Veranta, no advance tickets are available for the evenings. However, you can make a reservation at the restaurant and secure your place in the front row.
