Vaccination sites in Kymenlaakso are now open for the severely immunocompromised and everyone over 80 years old

6.9.2024 | Vaccination sites in Kymenlaakso have opened from 2.9, and all severely immunocompromised people aged 12 and over and those over 80 years old can now come in for a booster dose of the coronary vaccine. You can book an appointment in advance or arrive without an appointment on a walk-in basis during the opening hours of the vaccination centres.

Alternatively, people aged 80 and over can call a separate vaccination number on 05 220 2020, open weekdays from 8.00 to 18.00. The vaccination number operates on a call-back basis. So far, we have been able to respond quickly to call-backs, usually within 24 hours. There are also good availability of free times. Appointments for influenza vaccination are made at the time of the booster or by telephone appointment.

Severely immunocompromised children under 12 years of age will receive the coronary vaccine at the vaccination point later in the autumn when a suitable vaccine is available.

Vaccination of all other children in the target groups for the coronary vaccine booster and the free influenza vaccine will start in October. The Welfare Region will inform about the opening of appointments and vaccination places for other target groups in September.
