Port director Kimmo Naski is retiring

9.4.2025 | Doctor of Economics, Port Counselor Kimmo Naski has announced that he will retire from his position as CEO of HaminaKotka Port Ltd. on January 1, 2026. Kimmo Naski’s long career in the company’s leadership has been a success story. After the merger of the ports of Hamina and Kotka in 2011, the company’s equity ratio has quadrupled, and 158 million euros have been distributed to the owners. Approximately 7,000 people work in the port areas, and the immediate and indirect impact on the region’s economy is substantial.

Kimmo Naski’s international activities, including his role as Chairman of the Board of the Baltic Ports Organization (BPO), Chairman of the Transport Committee of the German-Finnish Chamber of Commerce, membership in the boards of several companies and organizations, and as Honorary Consul of the United Kingdom, have brought great benefits and a global dimension to both Finland’s largest public port and HaminaKotka Port Ltd.

“The company’s financial and operational situation is strong. The port’s position as a national port and logistics hub is significant. On behalf of the company’s board, I would like to thank CEO Kimmo Naski for his wonderful and successful work. The foundation built for the coming years is solid,” says Peter Muurman, Chairman of the Port Company’s Board.
