Bring One, Take One – Book Exchange Point Opens at the Main Library

3.2.2025 | A new book exchange point will open at Kotka’s main library on Monday, February 3rd, at 8:00. The exchange is located in Hilda’s Room on the first floor of the library and will be open during the library’s regular hours. The space includes multiple bookshelves, tables, and chairs.
The exchange operates on a self-service basis, meaning visitors can bring their own books and take new ones in return. Initially, only books will be accepted, but if there is interest in other materials, the library is open to discussion.
The library has a few guidelines for using the exchange:
- Only bring books that are clean and in good condition, with a maximum of five at a time.
- Do not bring books that have been stored in damp conditions.
- Old encyclopedia sets and Reader’s Digest Condensed Books cannot be accepted.
- Please place books on the shelves and keep the space tidy.
