Joint application to higher education starts

8.1.2025 | Applications for Xamk University of Applied Sciences of South-Eastern Finland’s English language programmes are open in the national joint call for applications from 8 to 22 January. The call includes both bachelor and master level programmes, as well as new programmes.

Xamk is increasing the number of English language courses. In this spring’s 1st joint call, new engineering courses include Bioproduct Technology in Savonlinna, Efficient Supply Chain Management in Kotka and Water Technology and Sustainability in Mikkeli.

In the health sector, a new course in nursing in English will start in Mikkeli. The Mikkeli Nursing course will be organised as a complementary course, where applicants must already have a nursing degree in their home country, which they will complete in Mikkeli to become a Valvira-approved nursing degree. The new course will also lead to a Master’s degree in Sports Medicine and Exercise Physiology.

In total, there are 11 applications available. Selections will be announced by 28 May at the latest, with studies starting in autumn 2025.
