The new Wellbeing-service is now available for professionals and local residents.
17.12.2024 | The website of the Kymenlaakso Wellbeing Region and the Kymenlaakso municipalities and organisations has been published for the residents of the region. The service offers services from different actors, as well as information and self-care paths to support your own health and well-being.
Services have been grouped under different themes. The site provides information on mental wellbeing, arts, culture, exercise, inclusion, community, substance abuse, addictions and nutrition. The content will be expanded next year to include lifestyle guidance, health skills, hiking, nature, peer support and everyday safety.
The Well-being service has a wide range of topics on different aspects of well-being
The purpose of the Wellbeing Service is to bring the services promoting wellbeing and health in Kymenlaakso to one website, where they can be used by both residents and professionals.
“The aim of the service is to encourage people in Kymenlaakso to pay attention to their own well-being and that of their loved ones. The Wellbeing website has a wide range of topics on different aspects of wellbeing. When we talk about well-being, it is not only about health, but also about whether you sleep and move enough or whether there are other stressful things in your life,” says Sanna Koste, Head of Well-being and Health Promotion in the Kymenlaakso Well-being Region.
The well-being service is the result of cooperation between the Kymenlaakso Welfare Region and municipalities and organisations in the region. The need to have well-being services on the same website has been raised by the multidisciplinary well-being working groups in Kymenlaakso.
“The working groups include representatives from the well-being region, municipalities and organisations. Our common goal is to support the well-being of the people living in our region. This is the first time that the Wellbeing Service has brought together such a wide range of services promoting wellbeing and health in our region on a common platform,” says Koste.
Developing well-being and health promotion services across Finland
Services and activities promoting well-being and health, multidisciplinary customer and service management models and digital solutions are being developed in all well-being areas with EU project funding. The Kymenlaakso Well-being Service is based on the national Hyte service concept, which has been developed with the participation of all well-being regions, the City of Helsinki, organisations, municipalities and national actors. The aim of the service concept is to make services and activities that promote well-being, work and functional ability, coping, health and inclusion easy to find for customers and professionals.
